Tips to Prepare Kids for On-Camera Auditions

Memorize again and again

We know that there are more than one auditions for the next day with a lot of lines and it's a crazy business that everything happens in the last stage. But most of the kids aren’t prepared enough when they walk into a room and end up staring down the whole time in a script. They keep on thinking of their next time instead of listening in the scene. The best thing is to help them and treat them as their child to memorize their lines and make scripted learning as fun.

Read the whole script

What is the right time for acting? It is important to become a part of their homework. Most of the parents ignore it but it will give you a huge advantage in auditions. Find the right time to understand what is happening? Sometimes the director will ask your kid about the script, the circumstances and the character, so it is mandatory to be prepared for this. There are some clues which are very helpful for the scene.

Don’t worry about the clothing and hair too much.

It is important to dress like the character but never want it to be a costume if you worry about the color of your dress and hairs. It's all about the essence of the person, how they come across on camera and too much costume can make it seem like they are overcompensating for their acting skills.
